Empower Women in Coffee - Coffee Potluck
We’re bringing this smashing line-up from our Vancouver tasting to Edmonton!
Building on the celebration of International Women’s Day, Coffee Potluck in collaboration with Strong Women in Coffee presents a spotlight on coffees that are grown or roasted by women . AND our friends at De Mello Palhetta roasters (Toronto, ON) are also sending a freshly roasted coffee to add to the cupping table. Scroll to see the coffee selection.
Why is this important?
For a more sustainable supply of coffee for roasters & importers as well as a resilient coffee-producing community must focus on gender equality.
Research suggests that in order to build vibrant coffee communities and a prosperous coffee industry for the future we need to plug into women. What does this look like?
*note: excerpts have been taken from the Partnership for Gender Equality report Coffee Quality Institute (CQI) funded the Partnership for Gender Equity (the Partnership)
